MyForeverDNA is a leading provider of DNA testing services that required a strategic consolidation of its digital presence. As the Shopify Migration Specialist for this project, I was commissioned to merge two separate platforms—one on WordPress/WooCommerce and another on Shopify—into a single, high-performance storefront. Consequently, the primary objective was to migrate all historical business data while simultaneously boosting the brand’s local and technical search visibility.

Managing data across two different ecosystems requires a disciplined approach to backend mapping. First and foremost, the brand was struggling with fragmented inventory and customer records spread across two sites. In addition to these administrative hurdles, the migration needed to occur without losing established organic search rankings in the highly competitive medical testing niche.
1. Advanced Data Migration & Mapping
To achieve a seamless transition, I migrated the entire product catalog, thousands of customer profiles, and historical order records from WooCommerce to the new Shopify environment. Furthermore, I developed custom mapping protocols to ensure that unique product attributes and customer DNA kit statuses were preserved.
